the regal eras- when the Maharajas and the Maharanis reigned supreme. The
time machine takes you back in times of the Rajput rulers of the state of
Rajasthan. The magnificent views of forts, palaces, havelis, camels and sand

How many coaches does it have?
The fully air-conditioned Palace on Wheels consists of 14 luxuriously
decorated coaches. Each of the coaches is named after former Rajput states-
Alwar, Bharatpur, Bikaner, Bundi, Dholpur, Dungarpur, Jaisalmer, Jaipur,
Jhalawar, Jodhpur, Kishangarh, Kota, Sirohi and Udaipur.
What are the services and facilities offered?
The Palace on Wheels provides with 14 fully air-conditioned salons. Each of
the salons is a combination of 4 twin-bedded chambers. The facilities
offered are channel music, intercom, attached toilets, running hot/ cold
water, shower, wall-to-wall carpeting, bar, indoor games, mail box, medical
aid, restaurant, laundry, barber shop, beauty parlour, etc. The lounge has a
souvenir shop 'The Bazaar' where interesting gift items and souvenirs are
sold.
There are two lavish restaurants- the Maharaja and the Maharani. These
provide the guests with delicious Continetal, Chinese, Indian and Rajasthani
cuisine. Special assistance is provided for the disabled persons.
Wheelchairs and an attendant to take care are also available.
