Where is Udaipur?
Udaipur is located in the southern part of the state of Rajasthan in
northwestern India. The Udaipur city lies near the Gujarat and Madhya
Pradesh border.

The city is famous for the Lake Palace, which is a beautiful island palace
built by Maharaja Jagat Singh II in the year 1754. The city is known

The key attraction of the city is the Lake Palace which was built by
Maharana Jagat Singh II in 1754. The palace is beautifully located on the
lake Pichola. The setting of the palace is in such a way that it seems to be
emerging out of the lake, making it a spellbinding sight for the onlookers.
» City Palace
The City Palace is located on a foreland on the enchanting lake Pichola.
The palace houses 11 exquisite Mahals with balconies and towers, providing a
splendid view of the lake and the city. The Durbar Hall showcases some
luxurious interiors enhanced by gigantic chandeliers. The palace complex
houses a museum as well.
» Jag Mandir

Jag
Mandir is yet another magnificent palace located on Lake Pichola. It was
erected by Maharaja Karan Singh in 1615 AD. The palace had served as a
shelter to Prince Khurram (later emperor Shah Jahan who built the Taj Mahal)
who rebelled against his father Jahangir.
» Saheliyon Ki Bari
The Saheliyon Ki Bari came into being in early 18th century AD as a retreat
for the royal ladies to spend their time here in leisure. The lotus pool,
bird-shaped fountains, lush green lawns, flower beds and marble pavillions
offer a magnificent view to the visitors.
