Mysore (135 km from Bangalore) is located in the state of Karnataka in
India.

Mysore is famous as the ' City of Palaces' on account of the number of

Mysore Palace

life during the Raj. It is the seat of the famed Wodeyar rulers. The palace
is truly a pride of the kingdom. It is open on all days from 10-00 hours to
17-30 hours.
» Brindavan Gardens
The Brindavan Gardens lies adjacent to the Krishnarajendra Dam. The garden
is located on either side of the big artificial lake formed by the dam.
Adorned with coloured fountains, the garden has two parts- the South and the
North gardens. At the entrance of the garden, stands the exquisite image of
Goddess Kaveri. Several thousands of tourists arrive to view the astounding
beauty of the garden.
» Mysore Zoo

Established
under royal patronage in 1892, the Mysore Zoo is one of the oldest zoos in
the world. The animal inmates of the zoo have been brought from more than 40
different countries. The Royal Bengal Tiger, white tiger, elephant, giraffe,
Himalayan black bear, Indian bison, white peafowl, Indian rhino, hippos and
gorillas constitute the fauna population of the zoo.
» St. Philomena's Church
The splendid Philomena's Church lies to the north of the city. It is one of
the tallest structures of the place and is built in Gothic style. Visitors
to the city of Mysore should never miss the site.
