What does India have to offer?
Beaches in India provide you with much more than just sea, sun and sand. If
it were only a matter of sea, sun and sand, one would have found it anywhere
else. But what makes Indian beaches special is the culture and the lifestyle
that thrives by the sea shores. The cultural activities, the exquisite
handicrafts, traditional cuisine and the age-old activities of the people
are enough to amount to an experience of a lifetime. India is privileged to
have almost a 6000-kilometre long coastline, which has given rise to some of
the finest beaches in the world.
Where are the beaches located?
Located on the Malabar Coast in southwestern India, Kerala is a is a magic
network of innumerable lakes, exquisite lagoons, beautiful canals and
exquisite beaches. The long coastline of the state is wonderfully dotted
with swaying coconut groves and tiny fishing hamlets. Goa is known as the
'Beach Capital of India', attracting a large number of tourists, travellers,
picnickers, vacationers and honeymooners from all parts of the globe. Puri,
on the coast of the Bay of Bengal, has been inviting, for years, a good
number of tourists to enjoy the holy waters of its beach. The Kanyakumari
beach and the beaches of Mumbai are no less attraction for tourists.
